Summer Camps

Date:    June 9 - 13th

Time:  9:30 - 4pm

Location:  Space Coast Iceplex, Rockledge, FL

Cost:   $315 / $295 if signed up by 5/15

This camp is for those players that are interested in learning the techniques for scoring more goals.  We will focus on puck protection, passing and shooting.  The scoring segment of the camp will focus on scoring lanes, scoring percentage and play making situations that will increase scoring.

Kevin Goumas is a long time Jets Alumni and Coach who is in his final year at UNH.  This year, Kevin hit the 50 point plateau for the first time in his NCAA career.

JETS AAA DEFENSEMAN SKILLS & GAME CONCEPTS

Date:    July 14 - 17

Time:    9am - 4pm:  3 hours on ice per day.

Birth Years:  2005 - 2001

Cost:    $365 / $335 if signed up by 5/15  

This camp will focus on defensive concepts from backwards skating, accelleration, puck protection to breaking out under pressure, shooting from the point and defensive zone concepts.  This camp is prefect for any defenseman that is looking to get a better understanding of their responsibilities as a D-man.  This camp is not only opened to defenseman, but forwards who want to be a well rounded player.

Pictured above is Kevin Schaeffer who played defense for Coach Shawn.  Kevin went on to play Division I College Hockey for Boston University and was drafted by Nashville Predators of the NHL.

JETS AAA Skills & Scoring Camp

Date:    July 28 - August 1st

Time:  9:00am - 4pm / 3 hours on ice per day

* This camp will fill up quickly and is only opened to 20 players.

Location:  Xtra Ice, Tampa

Cost:  $415 / $385 if signed up by 5/15

(Pictured)  Ryan Cruthers has consistently been a top goal scoring at every level he has played at. (Jr. A, NCAA, AHL, ECHL)  He played his college career at Robert Morris University and was a Hobey Baker Finalist in his Sr. year.  He is currently playing for the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

Time:  7 - 8:30pm.  Evening Training session

Location:  Xtra Ice, Tampa

Birth Years:  2002 - U16 Midgets

* This camp is opened to 18 skaters only.  16 Skaters / 2 Goalies

Cost: $185

This evening training session is for those defenseman that are looking to understand their position.  We will focus on the little details that will help each D-man gain the extra edge and be able to play in all situations.  Focus will be spent on backwards acceleration, puck protection, breakouts, reverse breakouts, passing and scoring.  we will spend time on defensive zone concepts, boxing out and game concepts.

(Pictured)  Jake Redlihs was a standout defenseman for Coach Shawn before moving on to Boston University.  Jake was a Columbus Blue Jackets NHL Draft pick and spent many years playing in the AHL.  He has also appeared in the Winter Olympics for his home country Ukraine.

Date:  July 21 - 24

Time:  9:30 - 4pm.  3 hours on ice a day / 4 day camp

Birth Years:  2005 - 2001 Travel Players

Cost: $315 / $285 if signed up by 5/15

This camp is for travel players that are interested in learning the techniques for scoring more goals. We will focus on puck protection, passing and shooting. The scoring segment of the camp will focus on intense flow drills that will give teach players what to do in certain scoring situations. We will focus on small details when it comes to scoring more goals.

(Pictured)  Martine Karsums was a young standout forward when he played for Coach Shawn.  Martin moved on to the QMJHL before getting Drafted by the Boston Bruins of the NHL.  He has played for the Bruins and the Lightning before moving on to the KHL.  He has also appeared in the 2014 Winter Olympics for Latvia.  Marty had a great scoring ability as a young player playing at the Jr. A level.
