Shawn Ray is the founder and owner of the JETS AAA which have been in operation for almost 20 years. Coach Shawn has been coaching and developing hockey players that have moved on to NCAA and professional hockey and continues to work with players of all age levels. Chris Uber:
Chris is currently coaching the Long Island Gulls U16 team and has been instrumental in preparing the Long Island players to play at the next level. Chris has been involved with coaching and developing players
for many years while working with programs as part of the Boston Bruins and the Atlanta Thrashers of the NHL.
Chris played NCAA Division I hockey for University of Connecticut from 2002 – 2006 and prior to UCONN,
he played and developed with Coach Shawn in NY. Chris is a very knowledgeable coach with great communication skills that the young players will appreciate.
RYAN CRUTHERS
Ryan Cruthers:
Ryan finished his first year as the Head Coach of the Charlotte Rush in the USPHL Jr. A League. After finishing his playing career, Ryan jumped behind the bench and guided the first year Rush to the USPHL Playoffs. Ryan was a standout forward for Robert Morris University prior to turning pro. He played professional hockey in the AHL, as well as the ECHL.
Kevin Goumas
Kevin Goumas is the longest known Jets AAA Alumni. After finishing his NCAA playing career at the UNH, kevin spent the last two seasons playing in the AHL for the Philadelphia Flyers organization the Phantoms.
